Henderson the Rain King
by Saul Bellow
Book Read on 29 / 1 / 2007
A classic. Bellow is best the way he turns a sentence on it's head. For example you might be reading a sentence that seems very pedestrian and then halfway through he makes the whole ting ridiculous and funny. The ending, well, the last 10 or so pages is beautiful. It made me almost cry in the Lisbon airport. Probably the most emotional thing to ever happen in that incredibly boring place. Certainly to me.
