A Massive Swelling

This book was hillarious. I really enjoyed it. She is also an incredible poet with a very clever ear for a turn of phrase.
The book makes you loathe celebrities.
She makes a great case for the fact that real artists are much more busy being artists than they are being famous.
In fact, to become famous you have to beg, borrow, cheat and steal you way to the top. She dissects popular culture with a ruthless and precise method, like an exacto knife in the soft flesh of a plastic surgery victim.
I recommend it to anyone, especially starfuckers.
She inspired me to want to take a shit on Celine Dion's star in Hollywood.
It may still happen.
