Tender Is the Night
by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Book Read on 11 / 4 / 2009
It took me a long time to get into this book. In the beginning not very much happened. There was a duel, but nobody was shot. There were just a bunch of rich people laying around on a beach. Not that interesting.
It did improve however, when they started talking about insanity and the decline of a person due to alcoholism. But it was not that compelling of a story. It was a bigger disappointment because I am such a huge fan of The Great Gatsby.
It all just seemed self-indulgent and empty.
