Catch Me If you Can

by Frank Abagnale
Book Read on 11 / 7 / 2003
Frank Abagnale is an awful writer. That much is certain, and he proves it over and over in the book. He is also a bit of a misogynist. The troublesome part: he was just writing bad checks. He wasn't a con artist. Con artists are interesting people they have enough charm to make you want to give them money. Frank had none of this; he just forged good checks. (Granted, they were good copies.) He wasn't a romantic hero; he was a womanizing bore. So the book doesnít rank well with me. He was a twit. For a good book on con artists read ìThe Griftersî by Jim Thompson.
